This is another collection of tracks from Elevation, this time it is "Worship Gold", 16 top worship tracks. This isn't to be confused with earlier compilations of the same name that were put out by Kingsway and used to have 50 tracks on them (they did 2 different collections).

These tracks aren't necessarily the most recent of songs, but they are ones that are currently being sung by many Churches around the world. The first track is a recording of "Hosanna" from Paul Baloche, this track has been around a good 10 years! I am not sure of the vocal on this, if it's not Paul Baloche then it's someone who sounds very similar. . I can however tell that Matt Redman's "Our God" which follows definitely isn't the original recording as it's a female vocalist. There are many very familiar tracks that have been on many compilations included on this selection. "This Is Amazing Grace", "Cornerstone", "10,000 Reasons", "Mighty To Save" and more are the usual suspects that you will find across many compilations of the past couple of years.

There are some additions that may not be quite so familiar such as "Calvary (Covers It All)" written by Reuben Morgan & Jonas Myrin. The real surprise on this album is to find Tom McConnell's 2016 track "Every Nation Under Heaven" which seems to have found it's way onto this release with some real classics from Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin and Martin Smith.

As is often the case with these kinds of compilations there are no credits for the actual vocalists on the album, which is a shame because I think that there are some vocalists here that I would like to hear more from. However this product isn't the same as having the original artists performing them, or creating a compilation with their previously released tracks and where I have enjoyed some of the previous compilations and live worship from Elevation, this one just feels unnecessary, especially priced at £9.99!
